Don't skip a day...

I've come to the realization that when you skip a day of exercise, you are setting yourself up for a bad week.

Seriously, if on Monday morning, I wake up early, like I planned and walk, then it's easier to do so the rest of the week. BUT if on Monday, I decide to sleep another 30 minutes (YES - ONLY 30 MINUTES), it sets my mood for the rest of the week.

So with that said, from now on I would like you to email, call, message me on myspace, whatever you gotta do, to get in touch with me and ask me the question of the day... DID YOU WALK TODAY? Your help is greatly appreciated and will be returned. :)

Running.. it feels good!

Wow.. I am so excited about my new running career, but from what I've read, it will NOT prepare me for the Atlanta 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer. I am going to make running a part of my daily regimen though. At this point in my training I have started to focus on walking three miles a day. But with 30 more pounds to lose I want to kick it up a notch. I think running might be the key. I will keep you posted.

By the way, I've had several people ask me, "when is the walk, so we can donate money at that time?" Well, don't wait until then.. if you feel lead to help me participate in the walk, please donate today. We only have until mid August to raise the money, which will be here before you know it.

If anyone has a few fundraising ideas, please don't hesitate to share them with me. I willing to do whatever it takes to be able to walk 30 miles again this year. Sounds crazy, doesn't it???

3 Mile Training Walk

On Saturday, we completed our first training walk. It was a great morning for the three mile journey and we couldn't have ask for better weather. I was blessed enough to not only have my hubby along for the walk, but a friend from high school has been inspired to walk with us. I had forgotten how much Beka and I have in common. It was a refreshing 3 miles.

I have taken on a new challenge; I am going to being a Training Walk Leader in the Acworth area. I will be posting the times and places online soon. I look forward to meeting other "2-day"ers.
