Did you know that every 3 minutes someone in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer, and that someone dies of this disease every 13 minutes? These are sobering statistics, but many groups are working on ways to not only decrease the numbers, but hopefully find a cure. As in any endeavor, funding is essential to keep these efforts alive.
I have committed to be part of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer this fall to help raise awareness and funds for this important research. I will be part of an incredible group of people who walk 20-30 miles in September. As part of this commitment, each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $1000. However, I have made a personal goal of raising $2500. The net proceeds raised by participants will go directly to the diverse metro Atlanta breast cancer organizations.
I am currently in training for this event. I will keep you posted on my progress. This is a huge commitment for me and for my family. I need your help to complete the monetary part of this commitment. Would you please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation of any amount to help me meet my goal? Every donation—no matter how large or small—will help! Please designate the amount that is right for you and return everything to me.
This 2-Day Walk will make a bold statement about the generosity of many people throughout the U.S. I hope that you will share this adventure with me—by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Thank you in advance for your generosity
